Capturing The Lead Before The Calendar
Weekly coaching · Episode 42 of 42
Watch this if
- You are about to launch paid ads and your booking page is a single calendar step
- You only hear about the leads who finish the form, never the ones who drop out
- You are still sending ad traffic to a preview URL instead of your own domain
- You want mentorship between calls but nobody has time for you in your time zone
Basim Mousilli led a coaching call with Anu Kinhal, Onyango Henry, and the Insert Fuel team to work through Anu's landing page and booking flow for his law practice ad campaign, and to welcome Henry back to the community as he pursues a master's in AI in the Netherlands. The session became a live working session where the team optimized Anu's two-step booking form, published his page to a custom domain, and set up Henry with AI mentorship through Basim's clone to help him ship automation products to small businesses in Uganda.
What we unlocked
- Capture name, phone and email first, then show the calendar on step two
- Add a call-me-back button for people who will not schedule right now
- Cut the form from five fields to three and auto-focus the first one
- Point a CNAME at book.yourdomain.com so paid traffic lands somewhere real
This time what I wanna do is I wanna have, like, a little bit more of, like, you know, click, like, Learn More, so just, just so more, uh, traffic goes straight to the landing page so that they can see this is a real service a little bit more too.

Opening: Anu's ad campaign progress
Anu shares that he has finished filming and editing creatives and is now refining his follow-up sequences for people who schedule consultations versus those who only submit contact information.
- 212:35
Two-step booking form optimization
The team reviews Anu's landing page and works together to improve the booking flow by capturing leads before they select a time, reducing form field overwhelm, and adding a call-me-back option for people who don't want to schedule immediately.

A mentor without giving my time
Caption, ready to post
He asked for a mentor and got one in minutes
Henry asked for a mentor in automations. He has evenings free in the Netherlands and customers waiting in Uganda. Instead of a weekly call he got a brand, a team chat and a clone that drew him a four phase go to market on the spot. Want a mentor that answers at 11pm your time? Comment CLONE.
Do you have free evenings and no mentor, yes or no? Reply yes and we will open a chat.

Hook · Onyango Henry
I really, I really, really need your advice on what, how to, to take this up, and what I need to do. I really, really want to know
Opens on the raw ask, before anything is explained. It is the gap the rest closes.
Transition · Basim Mousilli
So do you, for real projects, do you have a real customer in mind or an industry, or, or how do you wanna get started to ship automations?
Continues the exact thread the hook left hanging, with no new beginning.
Inverted benefits · Onyango Henry
Yes, I, I have customers in mind. Um, I'm actually targeting, targeting customers back in Uganda.
Names what is already sitting there unworked: real customers and no system to serve them.
Topic · Basim Mousilli
I'm gonna help you build out the brand right now because Bassem's clone has learned from me and others. We're gonna build out your voice and everything and diagram right now
States plainly what this moment is about in one repeatable sentence.
Evidence · Basim Mousilli
So we're creating you a brand right now, and you're gonna be the owner. Congratulations. We're gonna fuel your brand.
Kinesthetic: the thing actually happens on screen while he is talking.
Evidence · Basim Mousilli
There it is. Look, Uganda automation go to market. Anu, you see this? That's pretty cool.
Visual proof: the diagram exists, named, on the screen.
Open question · Basim Mousilli
Henry, what's one automation you think Ugandan businesses need most right now? And it's asking you.
Genuinely open and aimed at the real hesitation about where to start.
The ask · Basim Mousilli
So, um, so you have homework to do that. Good. Henry, what's your homework?
Collects the commitment, small enough to say yes to today.
Written up from the weekly Let Go Boss coaching call, hosted by Basim Mousilli.
The weekly call
Bring your biggest problem. We solve it on the call.
Not a webinar and not a pitch. We go round and ask everyone what they are blocked on, pick one, and deal with it properly in front of everybody.
- 1
Everyone says what they are stuck on
Round the room, briefly. Most people find somebody else has the same problem.
- 2
We pick one and teach the theory
Why it happens and how to think about it, so you can handle it yourself the next time it comes up.
- 3
Then we actually fix it, live
The second half is the doing. Not slides about the solution, the solution, built while you watch.
