Someone commented on your post three days ago and you still have not replied

You post. Comments come in. You mean to reply to all of them, and you reply to about half, and the ones you miss were the ones asking for the price.

Then the DMs. Then the follow-ups you meant to send on Tuesday.

This is a walkthrough of one automation: when someone comments a specific word on your Facebook post, they get a reply with a link, and their contact detail lands somewhere you can actually use it.

## What this does

## What you'll set up

1. A Facebook page connected for automation 2. A post written so the comment is the obvious next move 3. The comment trigger, the reply, and the link it sends 4. The landing step on your own site that sits in front of the PDF 5. Where the captured contact goes, and what happens to it next

The order matters here. Step 4 is the one people skip: if the PDF link goes straight to a file, you have given away the asset and learned nothing about who took it. Putting your own page in front of it is the difference between a download and a lead.

## The part that is not automatic

The automation sends the reply. It does not decide what the reply says, and it does not write the post that earns the comments. If the post is not one people want to respond to, the automation has nothing to trigger on. Expect to rewrite the post more than once.

You also still have to answer the people who reply to the automated reply. It buys you the first response, not the conversation.
