You are doing the same call five times a week

Tuesday, 2pm. You are on a call answering the question about pricing. You answered it yesterday at 4. You will answer it Thursday morning, and again Friday, to five different people who all have the same three worries and none of whom have met each other. That is the week most owners with a service business are actually living. It is not a marketing problem. It is that the part of selling that only you can do has never been separated from the part that is just repetition. ## The cheapest fix is one room instead of five calls Put the five of them in the same session. Same hour, same questions, and this time they hear each other ask. What changes is not your calendar, although that changes too. It is that objections stop being private. When somebody says out loud "I have tried this before and it did not stick", the other four stop pretending they were not thinking it. You answer once. Four people who would never have raised it hear the answer anyway. That is the whole argument for running a group session. Not scale. Not engagement. The fact that a worry said in front of other buyers loses most of its power, and a worry nobody says stays and kills the deal quietly three weeks later. ## Where this goes wrong It turns into a webinar. Somebody presents for 50 minutes, takes two questions at the end, and drops a link. If nobody in the room speaks, you have made a video with a worse production schedule. You would have been better off recording it once. So the test for the session is simple: did somebody say something you did not plan for? If three sessions go by and the answer is no, the format is not working and no amount of better streaming software fixes it. Ask people what they came to solve before you start teaching anything. Use the first ten minutes for that, not for your slides. The second way it goes wrong: you sell for the whole hour. People can tell inside two minutes, and the ones with money leave first. Coach the hour, make the offer at the end, keep it short. ## It does not replace the one-to-one call This is the part worth being honest about. Group sessions handle the repeated questions. They do not handle the specific ones, and the specific ones are where the money is. Somebody with a real problem, a real number and a real deadline is not going to lay it out in front of four strangers, some of whom are their competitors. They will sit quiet, decide you are credible, and book a private conversation. That is the correct outcome. The group session earns the private call; it does not stand in for it. Which means if you have no way for someone to book that call at the end, the session was a nice hour for everybody and nothing else happened. ## About the software Any streaming tool that lets you share your screen and see people's faces is enough to start. Pick one, learn the two controls you need, and run the session this week. The setup is not what is stopping you. It is that running the same hour in public, live, with people watching, is harder than doing five private calls where nobody sees you repeat yourself. That is the actual barrier, and it goes away after the third one. ## What this looks like when it is working You stop answering the pricing question in private. New prospects arrive at a session already half-convinced because four other people asked the hard things before them. The private calls you do take are shorter and are with people who have already decided you know what you are talking about. Your week gets its afternoons back. That was the point. --- *If the repeated part of your sales week is the part you cannot get out of, that is the conversation we have on a strategy call.*
